In Loving Memory of Dr. Janet Pettit

8.9.2013 A Message from our President:

My heart is full of sadness today. The neonatal world has lost an amazing, intelligent and kind person.

Dr. Janet Pettit had been an active member of NCANN for many years and on the board of directors. Janet was a wealth of knowledge and always willing to help when I had questions about a certain practice. I will remember her grace and calm. I will miss her dearly.

On behalf of the NCANN board of directors, we extend our deep sympathy to Janet’s family, friends and co-workers. NCANN will be honoring Janet at our conference in Napa Aug 25-27th. If anyone wants to participate or has suggestions for how to honor Janet, we welcome any comments, suggestions or input. We will post more information as we begin to realize this great lost and start planning how to honor such an amazing woman.

Our Holiday Event was a great success! Thank you to all the wonderful neonatal nurses and practitioners (and their families) who joined us in beautiful Downtown San Francisco. Thank you to our amazing speaker Terry Johnson for sharing her expertise in everything about the Gut!

A great big Thank You to everyone who participated in our Toys for Tots Benefit Raffle. We raised a little over $500 and 8 large bags full of toys for Toys for Tots! We thank all those who volunteered their time at the event as well as those who will be helping us deliver the toys around the Northern California area.

Happy Holidays to you all and we will see you in 2013!
